Mr. SCANLANasked the President of the Board of Trade whether the attention of his Department has been repeatedly called to the loss to the Irish egg industry occasioned through breakages caused by improper handling by the railway and steamship companies in the course of transit from Ireland to the markets of England and Scotland; and whether he will undertake to make-representations to the railway and other traffic companies involved with a view to the avoidance of the consequent loss and the protection of this important industry?
