§ 66. Mr. HIGHAMasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if retired members recalled to work in and for the War Office are continuing to receive their full pensions, and are also receiving pay for the services they perform; and if the rate of pay is fixed at the highest rate such servants were receiving when they retired, irrespective of the value of the services they are rendering now on recall?
§ Mr. FORSTERAny retired Civil servants who are re-employed cease during the period of their re-employment to receive their pensions and are granted such rate of pay, not exceeding their emoluments at the date of retirement, as may be regarded as reasonable for the duties they perform. In most cases these duties Are such that they receive the salary which they were drawing at the date of retirement.
