§ 12. Mr. ANDERSONasked the Minister of Munitions whether he is aware that a number of girls employed at the Kellner Partington Pulp Company, Barrow-in-Furness, gave notice to leave that firm in order to apply for work on munitions in Messrs. Vickers; whether he is aware that, in consequence of some arrangement between employers in Barrow, these girls were informed that, although they were in every way suitable for employment in Messrs. Vickers, they could not be taken on without a clearance card from their previous employers; and whether, in view of the fact that the Kellner Partington Pulp Company have refused to give the girls such clearance cards, although they are no longer in their employ, he will have some inquiries made into the matter?
