HC Deb 20 July 1915 vol 73 c1317
16. Mr. NEVILLE

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that dissatisfaction is being felt by our troops in the Dardanelles by the delay in forwarding parcels from the base; and whether he can take any steps to accelerate their delivery?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)

The arrangements for the transmission of the mails are made by the military authorities and not by the Post Office; but I am calling for a report on the question and of the time occupied in the transmission of letters and parcels between this country and the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force.
