HC Deb 20 July 1915 vol 73 c1320
14. Sir E. CORNWALL

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is taking any steps to bring into existence British Chambers of Commerce in all important parts of the British Empire where they do not at present exist?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Mr. Bonar Law)

British Chambers of Commerce are already in existence in most, if not all, the important trading centres of the Empire; and if further action is required I think it may be safely left to the commercial community.
