§ Mr. TENNANTUnder the Army Act a soldier may in time of war be compulsorily detained for a period of twelve months beyond the date on which he is due for discharge, and the period for 1179 which he is so detained reckons as qualifying service for pension or discharge gratuity subject to the conditions laid down in Regulations.
