Mr. SNOWDENasked the First Commissioner of Works if he is able to report the decision of the Committee which four months ago was said to be sitting on the question of the wages of the labourers and cleaners employed about the Houses of Parliament; and if this Committee has recommended an increase of the wages of these men, seeing that no advance has been given to them in the last twenty-five years?
§ The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Mr. Harcourt)The Committee has recommended certain increases, which will apply to the men in question. The matter is now before the Treasury.
