I have received the following telegram from the Governor-General of South Africa acknowledging the Resolution passed by this House the other day, as follows:— With reference to your telegram of the 14th July, Ministers request me to inform you that they have received, with deep gratification, the Motion carried in the House of Commons, and would be glad to express to the House the high appreciation felt by General Botha, General Smuts, and by the officers and forces of the Union at its terms.
