REESasked the Secretary of State for India whether the municipal authorities at Muttra have impressed, for the purpose of drawing scavengers' carts, sacred bulls, one of which died from the treatment it received; and, if so, whether such action was sanctioned by the local authorities and the local government concerned?
§ Mr. CHAMBERLAINI have no official information on the subject, but the local government, if approached by persons interested in the matter, will doubtless take any action which is necessary.
