CORNWALL:—To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has been given any recent information with regard to the investment made by the State in the British Aniline Dyes, Limited; and whether he can make any statement on the subject, so that the public may know whether the operations of this company are answering the purpose for which the money was provided?
§ Sir E. CORNWALLI am informed that this question is to be answered by the President of the Board of Trade. I have no objection to him giving the information, but the Chancellor of the Exchequer will see that I specifically asked him, as having charge of the public purse, whether he has been given any recent information with regard to the investment.
