§ 26. Sir JOSEPH WALTON
asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that the French Government have appointed two additional Under-Secretaries of State for War and have under consideration the question of similarly strengthening the staff in other Departments affected by the 739 War; and whether, in this time of pressure, he will consider the advisability of the adoption of the same methods in this country?
§ The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Asquith)
The Government are constantly alive to the necessity of making provision that the Departments dealing with the War shall be adequately staffed.
