HC Deb 22 February 1915 vol 70 cc23-4
58. Mr. BRIDGEMAN

asked if the War Office will consider the advisability of empowering commanding officers to draw an allowance up to 1s. per recruit, or per man, for miniature rifle ammunition in the case of units who are at present unable to get other practice in rifle shooting?

Mr. TENNANT

The suggested allowance is not considered necessary, as a liberal scale of issue of miniature ammunition has been approved and units have no difficulty in obtaining what they require from the ample supplies which exist.
