HC Deb 17 February 1915 vol 69 cc1124-5
54. Lord C. BERESFORD

asked whether rheumatism, ague, and weak heart from the effects of rheumatic fever brought about by service at the front are included as casualties?

Mr. TENNANT

The figures recently given to the House by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister were confined to battle casualties and did not include cases of sickness. The latter are, however, reported and notified to the relatives in precisely the same manner as other casualties.

Lord C. BERESFORD

Will they get the same class of pension as other casualties?

Mr. TENNANT

The Noble Lord must address that question to my hon. Friend.
