The SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Mr. Harcourt)

I beg to present a Petition from the Trustees of the British Museum asking for a Grant of public money to enable them to discharge their statutory duties; and I have it in command from His Majesty to signify His Majesty's recommendation of the Petition to the consideration of the House. (King's Recommendation signified.) Petition referred to the Committee of Supply.

Copy ordered, "of Account of the Income and Expenditure of the British Museum (Special Trust Funds) for the year ending the 31st day of March, 1915; and Return of the Number of Persons admitted to visit the Museum and the British Museum (Natural History) in each year from 1909 to 1914, both years inclusive; together with a Statement of the progress made in the arrangement and description of the collections and an Account of Objects added to them in the year 1914."—[Mr. Harcourt.]
