HC Deb 17 February 1915 vol 69 c1138
7. Mr. CHARLES DUNCAN

asked when a reply will be sent to representations made by the Association of Civil Service Assistant Clerks, in October last, respecting the overtime payment of assistant clerks employed in the Admiralty on Sunday duty in excess of 42 hours per week; and whether any increase from 1/365th of annual salary has been made in the rate of such overtime payment and, if so, on what date was the increase granted?

Dr. MACNAMARA

No reply has been sent to the letter referred to in my hon. Friend's question. With regard to the latter part of the question, it has been arranged that, in cases where it is not possible to give a weekday's leave in lieu, Sunday attendance shall reckon as overtime at time and a half rates. Payment is being made accordingly as from the beginning of the War.
