HC Deb 15 February 1915 vol 69 c896
18. Mr. ROWLANDS

asked the President of the Board of Education whether, in view of the effect upon the University of London of the prolonged uncertainty attaching to the action of the Government in connection with the Report of the Royal Commission and reference to a Departmental Committee, he will state what action, if any, the Government now contemplates taking in regard to the university?

The PRESIDENT Of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. J. A. Pease)

I am unable to make any statement on this matter at the present moment. My hon. Friend is aware that I was anxious to make progress, but I do not think that the present delay, largely due to the War, is necessarily prejudicial to the future of the University of London.
