asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that the price of food-stuffs in the far North and West of Scotland is considerably in excess of the prices ruling here, and that as such increase must be due to the dangers of navigation, he would consider if it would be possible by assistance in the way of assurance to effect a reduction in the price?

I am afraid that it would not be possible to adopt the suggestion that special rates of insurance should be charged on shipments to particular localities.
