HC Deb 11 February 1915 vol 69 cc719-20
68. Mr. BARNES

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether it has been brought to his knowledge that, in consequence of having to stand in pouring rain for three hours waiting to be reviewed by the Secretary of State and a French statesman, two members of the Buffs Regiment died through exposure; and whether steps will be taken to prevent a recurrence of this in the future?

Mr. TENNANT

I am informed that no battalions of the Buffs were included in the troops reviewed, and that no men have died from exposure on the occasion referred to.
