HC Deb 11 February 1915 vol 69 c704
22. Mr. KING

asked the President of the Board of Education whether he is aware that, in order to secure for this country the foreign trade now lost to Germany, it is requisite to have a largely increased number of scientifically trained workers; and what steps he intends to take to provide needed instruction of a technical and scientific nature for students in primary and advanced schools?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Pease)

I am fully aware of the importance of this matter, and it is now receiving my careful consideration.
