§ Mr. TENNANTThe lists of officers and men mentioned in dispatches, if not actually embodied in the dispatches, are dealt with as soon as they may be received from the Commander-in-Chief and, subject to the necessity of the names being carefully verified which involves correspondence, no avoidable delay takes place before publication.
