§ Mr. TENNANTNo statistics were supplied by the War Office, but I am informed that the figures as to recruiting in Ireland referred to were compiled by the police, and were furnished to the hon. and learned Member by the Irish Government, who, at the same time, pointed out that these figures could only be regarded as approximate.
