HC Deb 04 February 1915 vol 69 cc155-6
101. Mr. MacCALLUM SCOTT

asked the Postmaster-General whether his attention has been called to the delays in the mails between London and Glasgow; whether he is aware that of a test series of five letters posted in London last week before 6 p.m.

only one was delivered in Glasgow before 1 p.m. on the following day; and whether there is any prospect of an early improvement in the service?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

I am informed that there has not been any general delay of letters from London for Glasgow. If the hon. Member will let me have the envelopes of the five test letters which he mentions I will have the matter further investigated, and will communicate the result to him.
