HC Deb 04 February 1915 vol 69 c175
Mr. BONAR LAW

May I ask the Prime Minister what business he proposes to take next week?

The PRIME MINISTER

On Monday we shall move the Speaker out of the Chair on the Army Estimates.

Tuesday and Wednesday we shall devote to a general discussion on the Army Votes A and 1. We shall see what progress is then made, and, of course, if more time be required, we shall be glad to give it later.

On Thursday we propose to have the discussion that I promised on the prices of the necessaries of life.

Mr. JOYNSON-HICKS

May I ask when the Prime Minister proposes to give a day for the discussion of the alien question as a whole?

The PRIME MINISTER

I cannot say; I am not certain, but it will not be next week—perhaps the week after.

Mr. LOUGH

What form will the discussion take with regard to the prices of food on Thursday next? Will the right hon. Gentleman move a Resolution?

The PRIME MINISTER

Certainly I shall not move a Resolution. It will be more convenient, I think, that a discussion should be taken after a statement on behalf of the Government.
