Mr. SHIRLEY BENN

I object.

Mr. SPEAKER

The hon. Member cannot object if the Department concerned agrees to the Return. It rests with the Department to object to a Return being granted.

Mr. BUTCHER

On a point of Order—

Mr. SPEAKER

There can be no point of Order.

Mr. BUTCHER

May I ask a question?

Mr. SPEAKER

Of whom?

Mr. BUTCHER

Is there any mode by which we can challenge the decision of the Department, in case they should grant a Return which some of us consider is a mischievous Return?

Mr. SPEAKER

There is no present object in doing so. The hon. Member can bring pressure to bear upon the Department to rescind the Order for the Return.

Question put, and agreed to.

Return accordingly ordered.
