HC Deb 21 December 1915 vol 77 c178
6. Mr. KING

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether the Anti-Aircraft (London) Corps has now passed under the control of the War Office; and whether the discipline of the corps is under the Naval Discipline Act or the Army Acts?

Mr. TENNANT

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. I presume that the corps has been under the Naval Discipline Act, but this part of the question is for the Admiralty.

Sir G. SCOTT ROBERTSON

Who will answer these questions relating to the Anti-Aircraft Corps in future?

Mr. TENNANT

When the transfer is complete, no doubt it will be my duty to answer, but the transfer is not complete.

7. Mr. KING

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he will give the name of the officer in command of the Anti- Aircraft Defences of London?

Mr. TENNANT

I presume my hon. Friend refers to the gunnery portion of the Anti-Aircraft Defences of London. These are still under the Admiralty, and presumably Admiral Sir Percy Scott is still in charge.

26. Mr. KING

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether Sir Percy Scott is still serving under the Admiralty; and whether he has duties in connection with the Anti-Aircraft Defence of London?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the ADMIRALTY (Dr. Macnamara)

I would remind my hon. Friend of the answer which I gave him to a similar question on Wednesday last.
