HC Deb 21 December 1915 vol 77 c183
21. Mr. GINNELL

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what arrangements he has made in connection with the operation of the Finance (No. 3) Bill to secure to Ireland the abatements and exemptions to which Ireland is entitled under the Act of Union and the Consolidation Act of 1816, both of which Acts are still in force?

The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. McKenna)

The provisions of the Bill are not such as to require that any special arrangements of the character indicated should be proposed to Parliament.

Mr. GINNELL

Then Ireland obtains no abatements or exemptions?

Mr. McKENNA

Yes, Ireland obtains all the abatements and exemptions which are obtained by other parts of the United Kingdom.
