§ 96. Mr. JOYNSON-HICKSasked whether the Government are paying efficiency pay to Territorials who re-enlisted and not to members of the old Volunteers who have similarly re-enlisted up to the age of forty-five; and, if this is so, why this difference should be made?
Mr. BAKERThe concession granted to the Territorial Force has not been extended to Volunteers, as service in the Volunteers is not considered by the Military authorities as sufficient qualification for proficiency pay.
