HC Deb 27 April 1915 vol 71 cc564-5
59. Mr. BOOTH

asked if British Dyes, Limited, has decided to purchase the business of Read, Holliday and Company; and whether any director or any member of the Committee which formed the company will receive a commission for either party?

Mr. ROBERTSON

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative, and to the second part in the negative.

Mr. BOOTH

Have Messrs. Read, Holliday and Company identified themselves with the statement made by the hon. Gentleman's Department that there is no commission paid?

Mr. ROBERTSON

I think that is granted

Mr. BOOTH

May I ask for a specific answer on the point?

Mr. ROBERTSON

Perhaps the hon. Member will give me notice.

Mr. BOOTH

The question relates to it. I asked whether any member of the Committee will receive commission from either party?

Mr. ROBERSTON

Even in that sense I think the answer admits it; but if my hon. Friend wants a specific statement as to the attitude of Messrs. Read, Holliday and Company, perhaps he will put down a question.
