HC Deb 22 April 1915 vol 71 c408

asked if the War Office will consider the desirability of issuing an appeal to the public pointing out the harm done by treating soldiers to drink, and asking the public to abstain from pressing soldiers to accept drinks?

An appeal to the public on this matter was issued by my Noble Friend the Secretary of State in October last. The desirability of renewing the appeal will be considered, but I am in great hopes that there is at the present moment, no special need for the renewal of the appeal.
