HC Deb 22 April 1915 vol 71 cc376-7
5. Mr. KING

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether Great Britain has sent or is sending a special mission to the Balkan Governments; and whether anything can be stated as to negotiations between this country and the Balkan Governments?

The SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Sir E. Grey)

General Sir Arthur Paget passed through the Balkan States recently when on a mission to confer certain military decorations on Russian and Serbian military commanders. No other special mission has been or is being sent. In reply to the last part of the question, I regret that it is impossible at present to make any further statement.
