HC Deb 22 April 1915 vol 71 c420
87. Sir J. D. REES

asked what action has been taken upon the representation of the Dooars planters to the Bengal Government regarding the need for road improvements and extensions in their district?

Mr. C. ROBERTS

The Secretary of State's latest information is that on 1st May last work had been commenced on a programme of road improvements and extensions in the Dooars for which it was intended to allot a sum of Rs. 20 lakhs during the next four years, though completion within that period could not be guaranteed. I shall be glad to show the hon. Member such Papers as we have on the subject.
