§ Mr. TENNANTThe conditions under which rum is issued to the troops at the front have been fully explained on previous occasions. It is not proposed to make any change in the issue.
§ Mr. MOLTENOIs it not somewhat inconsistent to issue rum to the troops, a matter entirely under the control of the Secretary of State for War, when the question of total prohibition of the use of ardent spirits is being very generally discussed with Ministers?
§ Mr. TENNANTI am interested to learn that piece of information, but I would say that the troops are serving under totally different conditions.
