Mr. HUNTasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that the secretary of the London and Provincial Yearly Dividing Friendly Society is refusing to accept any further subscriptions from Reservists called up for service; and whether, as this is against the rules of the society, he will take steps to protect the members of this and other societies?;
§ Mr. MONTAGUComplaints to this effect have been made. As there appears to be nothing in the rules of the society to justify them in refusing to accept contributions from Reservists called up for service, the Chief Registrar of Friendly Societies is communicating with the society.
