§ Mr. B. FALLEasked the Under-Secretary of State for War if he has had letters eulogising all the arrangements made for soldiers and recruits in the Portsmouth district, and if on the other hand any complaints have been received by him?
§ Mr. TENNANTNo complaint has reached me of the treatment of recruits in the district referred to. On the other hand, I have received a very satisfactory account of the arrangements made at one depot in the district where accommodation for 500 troops was successfully expanded in a very short time so as to provide for 1,700 men.
