The CHIEF SECRETARY for IRELAND (Mr. Birrell)

I beg to move, "That leave be given to introduce a Bill to make provision in respect of constables of the Royal Irish Constabulary and the Dublin Metropolitan Police who are Reservists and have joined the armed military forces of the Crown."

The object of the Bill is to make provision so that the service of these men with the Colours shall count when they return to their police employment. It will also extend the same privilege to Naval Reservists.
