28. Mr. CHANCELLOR

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that the death, on 4th November, of Corporal Herbert Nichols, 3rd City of London Reserve, who resided at 42, Sedgemere Avenue, East Finchley, was certified to be due to anti-typhoid vaccination; and whether he proposes to put a stop to operations on otherwise perfectly healthy soldiers, which are causing deaths and suffering in our own country?

I am informed that the cause of death was pneumonia.
