Member for Dumfries, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, if he is aware that bricklayers and masons are being discharged in considerable numbers from buildings that are in course of construction for the Government; and whether he will take steps to prevent further discharges and, if possible, have the men recently discharged reinstated and by so doing prevent unemployment and distress in these trades?
