HC Deb 19 November 1914 vol 68 c550
40. Mr. J. M. HENDERSON

asked the Under-Secretary for War whether Territorials are allowed three days' furlough to enable them to visit their relatives before going to the front, and have themselves to pay as much as £2 and £2 10s. for railway fares to enable them to do so; and whether, if that be so, he will arrange free railway conveyance for them?

Mr. BAKER

The Army Council are carefully considering the question raised by my hon. Friend, the importance of which they fully recognise.

Mr. HENDERSON

When are they to make up their minds? These men are being sent every day.

Mr. BAKER

The decision will be given immediately.
