HC Deb 18 November 1914 vol 68 c429
64. Mr. F. HALL (Dulwich)

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether Mrs. George Pickett, wife of Colour-Sergeant Pickett, of the Royal Munster Fusiliers, has received the separation allowance due to her and two children as from 21st September; if so, when it was paid; and, if not, whether he can give any reason for the delay in making such payment?

Mr. BAKER

The Regimental Paymaster, Cork, reports that a, book of postal drafts in respect of separation allowance due to Mrs. Pickett, wife of Colour-Sergeant Pickett, of the Royal Munster Fusiliers, was issued on 17th October, to the post office at Avondale Road, Peckham, and it was ascertained by telegraphic inquiry yesterday that the book is still there. The necessary identity certificate to enable Mrs. Pickett to cash the drafts was sent to her on the same date (17th October).
