HC Deb 17 November 1914 vol 68 c311
3. Mr. KING

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, whether the capital of Russia, formerly known as St. Petersburg or Petersburg, is now officially called Petrograd; and whether a similar change of name has occurred in the case of Kronstadt and other places in Russia with German names?

Sir E. GREY

The hon. Member must surely be aware that the answer to the first part of his question is "Yes." I have no information as regards other places in Russia.

4. Mr. KING

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has any information concerning a Russian subject named Bourtzeff, who was in England at the beginning of August, but who subsequently returned to Russia to offer his services to the Russian Government?

Sir E. GREY

I have no official information on the subject.
