§ Mr. HOBHOUSEThere are no persons of German or Austrian nationality employed in the Scottish postal and telegraph service, but there are thirty-one British subjects so employed whose parents or one or other of them were German or Austrian. The dates of their respective appointments are, for the most part, not recorded in London, and could only be furnished after inquiry in Scotland.
