HC Deb 19 May 1914 vol 62 c1748
10. Sir J. D. REES

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he will say when alterations at the London Institution to fit it for its future use as a school of Oriental studies will be commenced; and what occasions the delay at the present time?

Mr. WEDGWOOD BENN (Lord of the Treasury)

No delay, as far as this Office is concerned, has occurred. The scheme of alteration has been settled; quantities are being prepared, and tenders will be invited as soon as the quantities are ready. It is not anticipated that work will commence before the end of June.
