HC Deb 19 May 1914 vol 62 c1759
31. Mr. NEWMAN

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether it is intended to proceed with a valuation of Irish hereditaments, as laid down in the Finance (1909–10) Act, 1910; and, if so, whether any further valuation, separating sites from improvements, will be undertaken; and, if not, whether the promised relief to the ratepayer will be given without regard to the improvements effected upon the land?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative; as regards the second part, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave on this subject to the hon. Member for Windsor on Tuesday last, and as regards the last part, to the reply which I gave the hon. Member on Thursday last.
