HC Deb 13 May 1914 vol 62 cc1115-6
74. Mr. CRUMLEY

asked the Vice-President of the Department of Agriculture (Ireland) whether he has received a memorial from farmers of the Lough Erne drainage area pointing out the constantly recurring losses which they sustain by flooding from the Lough and River Erne, and requesting his Department to present a Bill to provide a remedy by the reduction of the standard level of the loughs; and whether he will advise the Department to accede to their request at an early date?

Mr. T. W. RUSSELL

The Department have received the memorial referred to, and are in communication upon the matter with the Commissioners of Public Works, who appear to be the authority primarily concerned.
