HC Deb 13 May 1914 vol 62 c1094
48. Viscount CASTLEREAGH

asked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been called to the terms of the message sent by the Chancellor of the Exchequer to the late Liberal candidate for Grimsby in which he states that the Unionist party are encouraging civil war in Ireland and mutiny in the Army; if so, whether he intends to take proceedings against any members of the Unionist party for this offence; and, if so, against whom?

The PRIME MINISTER

My attention has not been called to the message otherwise than by the terms of the Noble Lord's question. The answer to the latter branches of the question is in the negative.
