HC Deb 12 May 1914 vol 62 c912
20. Mr. GODFREY LOCKER-LAMPSON

asked whether the forthcoming National Insurance Act Amending Bill dealing with deposit contributors and other matters will be introduced before Whitsuntide?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

The answer is in the negative.

Mr. G. LOCKER-LAMPSON

Can the right hon. Gentleman give us an assurance that the Employment Amending Bill and the Amending Bill will not be taken in Committee upstairs together at the same time, in order to allow hon. Members to have an opportunity of discussing both these Bills?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I should like to discuss that matter with my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade before giving an answer as to that suggestion.

21. Mr. G. LOCKER-LAMPSON

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether his proposals for the establishment of clinics, the provision of health lectures, the institution of expert diagnosis, and the provision of further moneys for insured married women will necessitate the passing of a Bill, or whether the money for these purposes can be provided under any existing Acts?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I can add nothing to the statement on this subject which I made in the course of yesterday's Debate.
