asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the Hon. T. G. Elliot Lewis has been briefed on behalf of the Crown to appear in the proceedings which have been instituted against the manager of Senghenydd Colliery in connection with the recent disaster therein; whether the said Mr. Elliot Lewis is a son of Lord Merthyr, who is one of the directors of the said colliery; whether he was aware "of this fact when the appointment was made; and whether, in view of the circumstances recited, he will reconsider the said appointment?
