HC Deb 11 May 1914 vol 62 c689
1. Mr. AUBREY HERBERT

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has any information from our Consul in the district regarding the fate of Hoti and Gruda; and whether he will use the good offices of His Majesty's Government to suggest to the Montenegrin Government that they should compensate those inhabitants of Hoti and Gruda whom they have driven from their homes and who have been forced to flee for safety to Scutari, or to reinstate them and rebuild their houses which the Montenegrin troops have burned and pillaged?

The UNDER-SECRETARY Of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Acland)

I have nothing to add to my reply to the hon. Member of 27th April. I have no information on which I could base action such as that suggested.
