§ 87 and 97. Mr. PATRICK WHITEasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) what is the amount in the aggregate of existing subventions to local bodies in Ireland that will be stopped if and when the Budget as introduced comes into operation; and (2) whether he will give a list of the Irish Departments to which it is proposed under the new Budget to give Grants, and the amount of the Grant in each case; and whether he will state the amount of the Exchequer subventions that they are at present in receipt of, and to what extent, if any, existing contributions will be reduced?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEAs I stated on Monday last, the sum which I then indicated as Ireland's share of the proposed new Grants will be in addition to the amount of the present subventions, and will be paid over to the Irish Parliament for the services at their disposal.

§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEThe information asked for is not at present available.
§ Mr. CASSELWill the right hon. Gentleman see that that information is available before the Financial Resolution on the Home Rule Bill comes on?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEI am sure that it is proposed that there should be a dis- 700 cussion on the Financial Resolution. At any rate, I will let the hon. and learned Gentleman have the information as soon as I get it.
§ Mr. CASSELCan the right hon. Gentleman let us have it before we vote on the Financial Resolution?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEI am afraid I do not know when the Resolution will be before the House, and therefore I cannot give a definite pledge.
§ Mr. CASSELWill the right hon. Gentleman use his influence with the Prime Minister to postpone a vote on the Financial Resolution until we have the information to show by how much the deficit of Ireland will be increased in consequence of the Budget?
