HC Deb 30 March 1914 vol 60 cc812-3
35. Mr. GODFREY LOCKER-LAMPSON

asked the President of the Local Government Board whether his attention has been called to the recently issued annual report of the Jewish board of guardians, in which it is stated that there is no large increase in the total number of beds in sanatoria available for Jews under the National Insurance Act, and that the provision of domiciliary treatment in the borough of Stepney simply means being attended by a panel doctor; and will he say what action he proposes to take in the matter?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

I have received no representations with respect to any lack of accommodation in sanatoria for the persons referred to in the first part of the hon. Member's question. Any question relating to the domiciliary treatment of insured persons should be addressed to the representative of the Insurance Commissioners.

Mr. G. LOCKER-LAMPSON

Has the right hon. Gentleman seen the Report?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

Yes, Sir.
